Abstract

This paper mainly concentrates on providing security to vehicles from thefts on the digital indication of fuel in vehicle tanks. The digital indication of the exact quantity of fuel available in the tank will be displayed using an ultrasonic sensor. It is an alternative to the contact type for the measurement of the fuel inside the tank and therefore it is a non-contact type. This sensor is interfaced with the microcontroller. With this ultrasonic sensor, the volume of fuel filled in the filling stations can also be measured. This Digital Indicating system displays the quantity of fuel and cost via Short Message Service (SMS), and with the help of Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking system which is interfaced with microcontroller, one can know the exact location of the vehicle also.
